The Heart of Lymphatic Treatments

Lymphatic Treatments include: Lymphatic Massage, Lymphatic Bowen, Taping, Compression Garments & Scar Tissue Release. Advise is also given for Self Care Lymph Drainage, Skin Care, Breathing & Exercise.

Lymphatic system -maintains fluid levels in our body’s tissues, the lymph nodes monitor the lymph flowing into them and produce cells and antibodies which protect our body from infection and disease, forming part of the immune system. The Lymphatic system supports our internal filtration system transporting waste to our detox organs, helping flush toxins, it is often referred to as our body’s sewerage system. Most toxins make a complete exit via our detox organs.

Detoxifying & Stress-Relieving-helping destress your adrenals which are connected to your Sympathetic Nerves, Kidney, Liver & Thyroid which may have effect throughout your whole body. A drainage point facial massage &/or drainage heated foot massage are included to enhanced a sense of wellbeing & relaxation.

 

Lymphoedema - occurs when the lymphatic system does not function properly. The lymph fluid does not flow/drain away which results in long term swelling of one or more parts of the body, this swelling is referred to as Lymphoedema. As an experienced lymphatic therapist, the treatment is tailored to each client. 

 

 

Lipoedema - is an abnormal build-up of fatty deposits in your legs/arms. The exact cause of Lipoedema is not clear. It may be caused by hormone fluctuation/changes e.g. Puberty/ Pregnancy/ Menopause & may run in families. It is not caused by being overweight. It can be associated with Lympheodema. Lymphatic maintenance massage treatment may help control symptoms. 

 

 

Pre-& Post Surgery - one of the side effects of surgery is swelling. This is a normal inflammatory response and a part of the healing process.  Lymphatic Massage Treatment may accelerate your healing process, decrease recovery time and combat infection by improving your circulation and improving immunity.
