What is sound healing?

Sound healing is a powerful practice that uses vibration and frequency to support physical, emotional, and energetic balance. Rooted in ancient traditions from around the world - dating back to Egyptian times! Sound has been used as a tool for healing for a very long time.

What can it help with?

Everything in the body; every cell, organ, and emotion carries a natural frequency. When stress, illness, or emotional blockages throw these frequencies out of tune, we may feel anxious, depleted, or disconnected. Sound healing uses pure, intentional vibrations to gently guide the body back into balance.

In each session, I work with a combination of shamanic drum, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and Chimes. These instruments work together to help calm the nervous system, release stagnant energy, and create space for deep rest and renewal. Many people experience a meditative state, emotional release, or simply a profound sense of peace during sound healing sessions.

Every session is an invitation to pause, realign, and reconnect with yourself.

The Science Behind Sound Healing

While sound healing has ancient roots, modern science is beginning to catch up in explaining why it works.

Everything in the universe, including our bodies is made of energy and vibration.

Each organ, tissue, and cell has its own natural frequency. When we’re stressed, unwell, or emotionally overwhelmed, these frequencies can become imbalanced or chaotic.

Sound healing works by introducing harmonic vibrations that help bring the body back into a state of balance as the body’s rhythms begin to synchronise with the steady, healing tones of the instruments.

For example:

Shamanic drumming has been shown to help shift brainwaves into theta state, a deeply meditative and restorative state associated with creativity, intuition, and healing.
Crystal singing bowls produce pure, sustained tones that create vibrations resonating through the body, helping to stimulate energetic flow and release tension and tightness in the body, including the muscles and fascia.
Tuning forks can be used on or near the body to deliver targeted frequencies that support physical healing and nervous system regulation.
The gentle tones of the chimes provide a soothing, high-frequency sound that helps settle the mind and uplift the spirit.

Research suggests that sound therapy can lower cortisol levels, reduce heart rate and blood pressure, and promote deep relaxation.

All of which are essential for the body to heal itself.
