The Heart of Senior Wellbeing

Supporting you on your path to lifelong wellbeing. Because we care.

We, at The Heart of Holistic Health have joined forces with Maximise Fitness to bring community spirit to the heart of Ongar.  We have been joined by Hayley Baron, a personal trainer and fitness instructor, to help cover our classes too.
 
Each week we offer subsidised low cost classes (all monies go towards the sustainability of the Hub). We are a non-profit making hub and Michelle and Amanda offer our services free of charge.

Keep Moving!
Our purpose is to help you live an active life keeping your independence. Exercise can improve strength, flexibility, range of movement and restore the body from injury and effects of disability. Mobility is a key component to our overall health and wellbeing.

Being able to do the things in life that give you enjoyment and enhances your emotional and mental wellbeing is paramount.

  • Improve your strength and balance.

  • Give you more energy.

  • Improve mood.

  • Improve cognitive function.

  • Prevent/delay disease, ie. heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis.
     

We are passionate about offering a community hub where you can meet like-minded people.
 

Don’t live with aches and pains! We are here to help and support you with your rehabilitation and to live the best life possible. Even if you don’t have a problem, being proactive is the way forward.

This Class is our advanced class where participants must be able to stand and move during the session without needing to do some of it seated. Our purpose is to help you live an active life keeping your independence. Exercise can improve strength, flexibility, range of movement and restore the body from injury and effects of disability. 3RD THURSDAY EACH MONTH | THE HEART OF HOLISITC HEALTH, ONGAR
2.30 - 3.30 PM | JUST £5 FOR AGES 65+

Join Cam on the 3rd Thursday of the month for an hour of relaxation to recharge and reenergise your mind and body through guided meditation and sound healing. 

2.30pm-3.30pm £5pp at The Heart Of Holistic Health.

How does sound healing work?
Using instruments we can create specific vibrations that interact with the body’s natural frequencies. These vibrations can induce a state of relaxation, shifting brainwave patterns and influencing the nervous system to take you out of “fight or flight” and instead into a “rest and repair” response.

How does meditation work?
Meditation helps to reduce stress, improve focus and attention, and promotes emotional regulation. Regular practice can lead to a calmer state of mind, better sleep and overall balance. Essentially we are training the mind to stay present and calm.
