Childrens' Counselling
Every child is unique, which is why we work with each child to access and work through their emotions, behaviours and difficulties to tailor their treatment and needs.
For younger children, we may use play therapy and art therapy to allow them to express themselves through these mediums to help ascertain their feelings. Sessions may include talking about a favourite book that they identify with a character of that book or reading stories that help to encourage children to discuss their feelings.
We help children learn how to cope with difficult feelings to improve relationships with family and friends, develop confidence levels and those all-important communication skills. If a child is finding it difficult to understand their own emotions and behaviour, our confidential children’s counselling service will enable a child to openly talk about how things affect them and explore their own feelings and attitude.
