Mental Health Awareness and Support

As a Clinic and Community, we joined the nation in recognising Mental Health Awareness Week in May; sharing time, laughter, a cuppa, cake and a chat with many of our Ongar Residents.  Thank you all for your support.

At The Heart of Holistic Health we are committed to fostering a supportive and understanding environment for all our clients and community members. Mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and we are here to provide resources, support, and compassionate care to help you navigate your wellbeing journey.

Our Commitment to Mental Health:

Our clinic offers a holistic approach to health, ensuring that we consider the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. We understand the unique challenges that mental health issues can present and are dedicated to providing a safe space where you can find the help and support you need.

Community Initiatives:

The Senior Hub - We are so proud of our The Senior Hub, a free weekly class for those aged 65 and over. Held every Tuesday from 10 – 11 and 11 -12pm at Budworth Hall in Ongar, this initiative aims to provide a welcoming environment for seniors to engage in light physical activities, social interactions, and mental health support. Led by our Amanda and Michelle (Maximize Fitness), The Senior Hub is a great way for seniors to stay active, make new friends, and receive guidance on maintaining their health and wellbeing.

Walk and Talk - We were overwhelmed by the amount of interest in a walking group and we are currently organising Team Leaders and logistics in order to make this happen. We anticipate a number of walking teams which will be grouped according to ability and we will announce the launch very soon!

Mindfulness Meditation – Another initiative that was very popular and we are putting together some classes here in Clinic.  Watch this space!

Free Consultation: We understand the current challenges faced by the NHS, including the strain on appointment availability and time for health and wellbeing advice. That's why we offer a free 30-minute health and wellbeing consultation here at The Heart of Holistic Health, designed to provide the attention and care you deserve.

Our team takes the time to truly listen to your needs and help guide you on your path to lifelong wellbeing. While we emphasise that complimentary therapies should not replace treatment from your healthcare provider, we are here to support you alongside your NHS care – because we care.

Contact us today to schedule your free consultation and take the first step towards a healthier, more balanced life.  Call Amanda on 01277 366030.
